OCD is characterized by the presence of obsessions and or compulsions. Obsessions are the recurrent and persistent thoughts, urges or mages that are experienced as intrusive and unwanted, whereas compulsions are the repetitive behaviours or mental acts that an individual feels driven to perform in response to an obsession or according to rules that must be applied rigidly.

Fee’s and Rebates
Individuals with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their GPs (or in some instances, Psychiatrists or Paediatricians) are able to receive a Medicare rebate (Rebate information in link below). Eligible clients are entitled to up to 10 individual sessions with a psychologist per calendar year (Jan-Dec). You will need to have your Mental Health Treatment Plan before you come to the first session in order for your rebate to be processed. Your Medicare rebate will be processed electronically at the end of your consultation and credited directly to your nominated account.

Private Health Insurance Rebate:
Each insurance company differs and rebates depend on 'extras' cover schemes that can change over time. We recommend that you check your 'extras' coverage and eligibility with your private health fund to confirm if rebates apply to your psychological service.
Psychological Assessment Fees for Cognitive Assessments (ages 6 and above), ADHD Assessment, Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment, can be provided on enquiry.
